Sankofa, a new Afro-Contemporary dance work presented by Asanti Dance Theatre, a traditional and contemporary drum and dance company. Sankofa, an ancient Ghanaian Adrinka symbol of a bird reaching its neck back towards it tail while its feet face forward, teaches us that before one can truly move forward, one must look back to the past.
